Roller garage doors sometimes also called garage roller doors are a great solution if you are looking to use your roof space. They are neat and compact. Some need as little as 9” of headroom. Roller doors are also great if you have a short driveway; you can park right up to the door and it can still open. It rises vertically with no swing out like up & over garage doors.
We sell 2 types of roller doors here at Lakes Garage Doors insulated and un-insulated. The differences though are not limited to the insulation:
- Insulated roller doors are made from double skin aluminium slats with a foam core, Un-insulated roller doors are made from a single skin steel sheet.
- Insulated roller doors are available as standard with a powder coated paint finish and also in three wood grain foil finishes. Un-insulated roller doors come with British Steel’s super tough plastisol finish in a variety of colours and are also available with the Golden Oak woodgrain finish.
- Insulated roller doors are only available with an electric operator. Un-insulated roller doors are available either manual or with automatic operation.
- Insulated roller doors require 300mm of headroom, un-insulated roller doors require 330mm for the Garage Door Systems Standard Roller Door and 229mm for the Garage Door Systems Mini Roller.
