The side hinged garage door did lose popularity in favour of the up & over garage door. People are now finding that the side hinged garage door is the perfect solution if the garage is used for storage rather than to keep their car in. The side hinged door makes it very easy to nip in and out of the garage and is great if you just want to go in to get bikes, lawn mower etc.
We have 2 types of side hinged garage doors at Lakes Garage Doors steel and timber.
Steel: All our steel side hinged garage doors are made by Garador. These doors are pre-hung on a factory fitted steel frame and are available in a choice of styles and colours.
Timber: All our timber side hinged doors are made by Cedar Door. Cedar Door garage doors are of the very highest quality, all doors are made to measure. These doors are available with frames but are not pre-hung like the steel doors. We recommend that these doors are hung by us or a qualified joiner.
